When do you choose 4 keyed-alike cylinders?
With four keyed-alike cylinders, you set the entire home on one key. The most chosen division is front door, back door, garage expats must register with the local municipality and obtain a shed or garden gateIt is the set for detached and semi-detached houses and corner homes, where you simply have more entrances to secure. Each door retains its own dimensions — a thick front door and a narrow gate may differ significantly — and yet all four open with the same M&C-key.

Measuring 4 keyed-alike cylinders
In a set of four, the sizes usually vary the most: a garage door or wooden gate is often thicker or thinner than the front door. Therefore, measure each door separately, both the outer and inner dimensions, from the center of the adjustment screw. A realistic example: front door 30/40, back door 30/35, garage 35/35, gate 30/30.
Do you have an up-and-over garage door or a gate with a narrow profile? In that case, a non-standard size or a half cylinder is sometimes required. If you are unsure, use the measuring manual or put together your set in the M&C cylinder wizard — if you can't figure it out, we'll think it through with you over the phone.

Can I include a garage door in the set of four?
Yes, provided the garage door has a Euro profile cylinder. For up-and-over doors or gates with a narrow profile, we recommend checking the dimensions beforehand.
May I mix knob cylinders and standard cylinders?
Yes, you choose what you want per door — for example, a knob cylinder at the garage and standard cylinders elsewhere. All four continue to work with one key.
Is four keyed alike more expensive than separate cylinders?
You pay the standard standard price per cylinder; keying alike is included. The advantage is one key and one certificate for the entire set.
What if one cylinder breaks down later?
With the certificate, you can create one replacement cylinder with the same key code in a controlled manner. You do not need to replace the other three.
