Why you M&C- need a security pass
M&C-cylinders and keys are patented and copy-protected. Therefore, reordering or replacements is only possible with your original M&C-security card or certificate of ownership. This ensures that the request comes from the rightful owner and keeps your locking system secure — no one else can simply duplicate keys or cylinders based on your plan. You upload your card securely; we store it protected.
What does 'level' or 'code' mean?
In a locking plan, every key and cylinder has its own place. The master key (GHS) opens all cylinders; a key group (HS1, HS2…) opens part of the doors; a cylinder code (e.g. C3) belongs to one specific cylinder. What is the difference between a master key and a key group?
A master key (GHS) opens all cylinders in your plan. A key group (HS1, HS2…) opens a subset of the doors. A cylinder code (e.g. C3) corresponds to one specific cylinder.
Why do I have to specify a level for each key?
Because each key can have a different place in your plan: one a master key, another a group or a single door. By indicating this per key, each key receives exactly the right level.
Should I my M&C-upload security pass?
Yes, that is mandatory. M&C-Keys are copy-protected; only the registered owner may order (re)order them. This keeps your locking system secure.
Do the duplicate keys fit my cylinders?
Yes. We mill the keys to match your existing lock exactly, based on your key plan number, level, and card.
How soon will the keys be delivered?
Orders placed before 23:59 are usually delivered tomorrow, after we have verified your security pass.
